All Advocates going on strikes in Delhi

Bar associations across Delhi have decided to continue their protests and suspend their activities until 9 April including North Delhi Lawyers Association. The Delhi Bar Associations has called for a speedy investigation into the death of Advocate Virender Kumar Narwal as the shooters are still not arrested according to police.

After the shooting to death of lawyer Narwal by two assassins, the association decided to suspend legal operations on Monday, but now all court officials have decided to continue protesting until April 9th, 2023 to seek quick actions in this case. Advocate Virender Kumar Narwal was given security protection after his 2017 attack. However, this has been withdrawn in 2021.

Advocates and Lawyers face death threats every day, according to Vineet Jindal, NDLA. He also mentioned that despite repeated requests, the police refused protection to lawyers. The purpose of the protest was to hasten the investigation into the brutal murder of Advocate Virender Kumar Narwal.
